I am Dustova Mairam, I am 23 years old. In August 2019, I entered the magistracy at the IAU, Department of International Relations. I still remember the day when I was told "Congratulations, you have passed," I did not believe it and asked again). And so in October, studies began. I remember sitting in class and did not understand a word because I had weak English. After the first lesson, I came home in despair and told my family that I could no longer continue my studies because of the English language. After that, all the teachers asked me to go to classes for at least a week. But for me 3 days were enough to see the result. It was at this moment that I realized that choosing the AMU I was not mistaken. Because it was at the AMU with such qualified teachers who know their business that I continued my studies. Thanks to the AMU teachers, I improved my English and overcame my fear. I chose this university because I am confident that I will get a decent education here. So why did I choose International Relations? As they say: choosing a profession for ourselves, we choose the further path of life. I chose this profession not only because it is exciting and interesting, but because the profession of a diplomat is especially important. It was this profession that showed me the importance of endurance and goals in life. My current goal is to graduate from the AMU and become a good diplomat. And maybe after that I will have a chance to present the history and culture of my country at its best on the world stage. For me, AMU is a place where any initiative can turn into reality.
